Our story
Justin, Rebekah, MaryEllen, and Franklin live in Rome as long-term missionaries, serving among Italians and people from around the world.
Called to the nations
God grew in Justin and Rebekah a love for people from other cultures and a desire to make Christ known across cultural and national lines.
Justin is originally from northern Michigan and Rebekah from northern Indiana. Their years in different parts of the United States brought them into relationships with people from many backgrounds and helped clarify a shared desire for missionary service.
They were married in 2017 and now pursue that calling together as parents to MaryEllen and Franklin.
Led to Rome
Rome became the place where ministry among Italians, migrants, refugees, and internationals could meet evangelism, discipleship, hospitality, church service, and long-term life.
The Wright family moved to Rome in 2025. They are committed to growing in Italian, becoming rooted in the community, building gospel relationships, and serving alongside local churches and trusted ministries.
They desire to make Christ known, strengthen His church, and help the wider body of Christ see and participate in what God is doing among the nations in Europe.
One year later
These family portraits were taken at the Colosseum exactly one year apart. They quietly mark a year of growing children, growing language, deeper relationships, and continued commitment to long-term life and ministry in Rome.
Meet the Wrights
Each member of the family is loved for who they are. Their shared home life provides the foundation from which Justin and Rebekah serve.
Justin’s ministry interests include personal evangelism, photography, filmmaking, communication, and helping ministries tell their stories truthfully. Over time, he hopes to create documentary work that helps the wider church understand God’s work and the spiritual realities shaping Europe.
Rebekah cares deeply about hospitality, women, families, and discipleship within the home. She is developing biblical-counseling skills with the hope of offering wise, scriptural encouragement and care as God opens appropriate opportunities.
MaryEllen & Franklin
MaryEllen and Franklin are growing up between cultures, learning the life and language of Rome alongside their parents. Justin and Rebekah desire to disciple them faithfully, protect the health of their childhood, and cultivate a home marked by joy, worship, stability, and welcome.
A missionary home

Marriage, parenting, hospitality, worship, and the ordinary rhythms of family life are part of how the Wrights seek to follow Christ and welcome others.

First Baptist Church of Kenova is the Wrights’ sending church and spiritual home.
Commission To Every Nation provides the administrative support, accountability, pastoral care, and donor services that make long-term overseas service possible.
