What ministry looks like in Rome.

In our part of Rome, Italian families live alongside neighbors from Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sudan, and many other places. On an ordinary day, we hear Italian, Bengali, Arabic, Urdu, Dari, French, and English spoken around us.

Many of our international neighbors come from Muslim backgrounds or from countries where Christian witness is limited. Many Italians approach spiritual questions through a Catholic heritage that may be deeply held, mostly cultural, or somewhere in between.

This is the community God has placed us in—a place where the nations live side by side and where we have the privilege of building relationships, sharing Christ, and serving His church.

Ministry often begins at a school gate, around a table, in a neighborhood, through church, or in a community activity.

We listen, build trust, welcome people into our lives, pray with them, and speak openly about Jesus. These relationships develop slowly, especially across languages and cultures, but they create room for honest spiritual conversation.

When someone wants to understand Christianity, we study the Bible together, answer questions, and explain the gospel clearly.

Discipleship continues as people learn to obey Christ, grow in Christian character, share life with other believers, and help others follow Him. We want new believers to be cared for and formed within healthy local churches rather than left to follow Jesus alone.

We want to listen to Italian pastors and believers, learn from them, and offer our gifts where they are useful.

Strong Italian churches can reach relatives, neighbors, coworkers, migrants, and future generations in ways a foreign missionary family cannot. We hope to contribute to churches that proclaim the gospel, disciple believers, develop local leaders, plant churches, and send workers.
