What we believe
The gospel is the center of our life and mission.
These convictions shape our family, our ministry, and the hope we share in Rome.
Our foundation
Historic Christian faith, clearly expressed.
We serve as evangelical Christian missionaries and wholeheartedly affirm the Statement of Faith of Commission To Every Nation.
The summaries below make our core convictions easy to read. For CTEN’s complete language and supporting Scripture references, follow the link to the official statement.

+
We believe the Bible is inspired by God, trustworthy, sufficient, and the final authority for faith and conduct.
02The Triune God
+
We believe in one true God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
03Jesus Christ
+
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God: fully divine, born of a virgin, sinless in life, crucified for our sins, bodily raised, exalted, and coming again.
04Humanity and sin
+
We believe every person bears God’s image, yet all have sinned and stand in need of God’s mercy and redemption.
05Salvation
+
We believe salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone and is received by grace through faith, not earned by human effort.
06The Holy Spirit
+
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts, gives new life, empowers believers, forms Christlike character, and gives gifts for the good of the church.
07The church
+
We believe all who belong to Christ form one body and are called to worship, fellowship, make disciples, and bear faithful witness in the world.
08Resurrection and judgment
+
We believe Christ will return, the dead will be raised, and God will judge with perfect righteousness.
Ministry convictions
The gospel shapes how we serve.
We believe the gospel must be proclaimed clearly, disciples are formed through Scripture and life together, baptism follows personal faith in Christ, the local church is central to God’s mission, and Christian families are called to make disciples within the home.
“I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.”
Romans 1:16
