European church planters examine ministry in secular settings

The Seventh-day Adventist Church's Inter-European Division reports that 150 mission leaders and church planters met in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, to consider church planting among secular, post-Christian, and Muslim-background Europeans.

The division's October 30 report says the conference ran from October 26 to 29 and brought together 150 participants. Sessions addressed religious distrust, conversion without a Christian background, ministry among Europeans of Muslim heritage, and ways of moving from online contact to discipleship and community.

Workshops drew on church plants in Prague, Stara Zagora, and Lausanne. Organizers framed the gathering as a response to advanced secularization and aging congregations across the division's European territory.

The report documents a training event and the organizers' strategic priorities. It does not establish that the proposed approaches have produced new congregations or measurable growth.
