Ukrainian temporary protection in the EU edged up from 4.41 to 4.43 million

Eurostat counted 4.43 million people displaced from Ukraine under EU temporary protection at the end of July, up from 4.41 million in June.

Nearly 30% of those under temporary protection were minors, while Germany, Poland, and Czechia hosted the largest totals. The September 10 release supersedes the August 11 snapshot for the latest level, though both document the monthly movement.

Temporary-protection stocks are not measures of permanent settlement, church affiliation, or future retention.
